Custom Backlit Channel Letters

The two usual causes are module spacing and stand-off distance. Halo letters show inconsistency faster than front-lit letters because the light travels across the wall, so we lay out modules per letter shape and set the stand-off to suit the letter size and wall surface.

Less so than front-lit letters, because the face is not illuminated. Backlit signage is at its best when the sign is seen from a few metres — hotel and restaurant entrances, receptions, boutique shopfronts. On a long roadside view we would recommend front-lit instead.

They can, but a dark or heavily textured wall absorbs light and flattens the halo. Send us a photo of the surface and we will compensate with a taller return and higher module density, or suggest a front-lit construction if the wall will not produce an even glow.
