Medium Channel Letters
Letters between roughly 20 cm and 60 cm do most of the work in commercial signage. They are legible across a street, efficient to manufacture and forgiving of almost any font. This page covers the details that make a medium sign look right.

Frame height and stroke width

Frame height follows the letter height, not preference: a tall frame on a small letter looks heavy, and a shallow frame on a large letter cannot hold the modules and wiring.
Getting the brightness right
- Medium letters are usually seen from 10–30 metres, so they need even light rather than maximum output
- Module density is laid out per letter shape, so curves and narrow strokes do not go dim
- 3,000–4,500 K suits hospitality; 6,500 K suits retail and clinics
- Timers and dimming keep the sign appropriate late at night

Mounting a medium sign
- Individual studs and a template: the cleanest look on a flat fascia
- Raceway: pre-wired and easier to install, with a visible housing
- Hanging or soffit mounts for covered walkways and entrances
- Weight is modest at this size, so most fascias take the sign without reinforcement

What letter height should a shopfront use?
For a typical high-street shop seen from 10–30 metres, 20–40 cm is the usual range, with 40–60 cm for roadside sites. Send a photo from the far side of the road and we will confirm a size.
Can medium channel letters be installed on a timber fascia?
Yes. We specify fixings for the substrate — timber, plaster, aluminium panels or brick — and supply a drilling template so the fixing points are set out accurately.
What is your minimum order quantity?

Can you match our brand colours and logo?
