Small Channel Letters
Small letters are harder to build than large ones. The return is shallower, the modules smaller and the wiring thinner, and there is less room for error. This page covers what is genuinely buildable, and where another sign type is the better answer.

The size limits, stated plainly

The real constraint is stroke width rather than height. A letter 8 cm tall with 3 cm strokes is straightforward; the same height with 1.5 cm strokes cannot hold a module string and will look patchy.
Making small letters look even
- Mini LED modules spaced per letter shape rather than per metre
- Light-diffusing acrylic faces, which spread light across a small area
- Shallow but adequate return depth: too shallow and the light cannot spread
- Slim drivers mounted remotely, so the letter stays clean
- A 24-hour continuous lighting test, which catches hot spots before shipping
Send the wording and the available height. If the design is too fine for illuminated letters we will say so, and quote an embossed panel or a printed acrylic sign instead.

Summary
Small illuminated letters are a precision job, not a scaled-down large one. Work from the stroke width, use mini modules laid out per letter, and be willing to change sign type when the design is finer than the construction allows.

Questions buyers ask
What is the smallest illuminated letter you can make?
Roughly 7 cm tall for normal English letters with a minimum 2 cm stroke width. Below that we recommend a non-illuminated letter, an embossed metal panel or a printed acrylic sign.
Can decorative scripts be made as small illuminated letters?
Usually not below about 20 cm. Thin strokes and tight curves leave nowhere for the modules, so script fonts need more height to stay even — we will tell you when a script needs simplifying.
What is your minimum order quantity?
Our MOQ is one piece. We welcome custom orders of any size, from a single sign for a small business to complete signage solutions for commercial projects. Can you match our brand colours and logo?
Yes. Send us the artwork and we will reproduce it in the construction that suits your project. Custom colours can be spray painted to your PANTONE or RAL reference, and metal parts are available in brushed or mirror stainless steel with electroplated finishes including titanium gold, champagne gold, rose gold, black steel, antique bronze and antique brass.
